BY TRAIN

It is now possible to travel from London to Rye in just over an hour, thanks to the high-speed rail link collecting London St Pancras (STP) with Ashford International (AFK) in just 38 minutes. From there, Rye is then a scenic 23-minute train journey. There are 2 trains from STP to AFK every hour; please check the current timetable for best connecting times from Ashford to Rye. Returning, there is an hourly service from Rye back to Ashford, to connect with onward trains to London. Again, we advise you to check current timetable and platform numbers at your time of travel. The train station is an 8-minute walk to the Hope Anchor.

PARKING

As we are an old building in the middle of a historic town, there is no on-site parking at the Hope Anchor. However, there are a number of pay and display car parks nearby as well as local on-street public parking spaces.

The closest car park to the Hope Anchor is The Strand car park (TN31 7DB) which is a 3-minute walk (back up a moderate hill!). This is a good place to park when you arrive. If you then wish to move to a less expensive car park, the Station car park is only a few minutes’ further walk.
